Hangman Page and Kenny Omega are the new AEW World Tag Team Champions!
Dynamite started the night off strong with an exciting back-and-forth match with Omega & Page vs. Frankie Kazarian & Scorpio Sky. Trouble seemed to be in paradise when Page accidentally nailed his partner with a lariat clothesline; however, both men were able to regroup and Page got the win for his team.
There's still a bit of discension between Page and The Elite; however, that isn’t something that drinking can’t solve. Well, at least for The Hangman. This marks the end of the 87-day title reign for SCU, who defeated teams such as Private Party, The Young Bucks, and The Lucha Brothers during their reign.
This is the first-title reign in AEW for both Omega and Page. While both men are mostly known for their singles careers, Hangman is a former ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champion (with The Young Bucks) and WrestleForce Tag Team Champion. Omega is a former NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Team Champion with The Young Bucks as well.
