Matt Hardy was brutally busted open last night on AEW Dynamite after being attacked by Sammy Guevara.

Hardy, who has now officially dropped the "Broken" gimmick, was cutting a promo in the ring when the Inner Circle member jumped him from behind in retaliation for Matt costing him his match last week. The two brawled back-and-forth for a short time before Sammy flung Hardy into the ring post and threw a chair at his face when he was lying prone on a table. He then added an exclamation point with an awesome flipping senton.

We're not sure if it was the post or the chair, but Hardy did appear to be hard-way busted open from one of 'em, and was wearing the proverbial crimson mask when Guevara finally walked away.

We're obviously going to see a match between these two at some point, and this did a nice job of adding a bit of heat to their feud.
