In a shocking turn of events, Mel and Luther of The Nightmare Collective turned on former multi-time Knockouts Champion Awesome Kong.

The development began after Mel lost her match against Hikaru Shida, with Kong chastising Mel for losing once again. While the confrontation between the two would calm down momentarily, Luther and Mel would then blindside and beatdown the AEW star.

Following the vicious assault, Kong was carried out of the ring thanks to referees and trainers. The promotion is now teasing that this could be the end of Kong’s career.

The events between the Nightmare Collective was indeed stunning, as there were no previous teases of dissension between the three members. While this is indeed storyline related, it should be interesting to see where the story goes from here.
