Mercedes Mone is officially the longest TBS Champion in AEW history!

On October 8, 2025, Mone officially passed the 500 day mark, but that still had her as the second longest title run behind Jade Cargill. However, that changes today. Mercedes Mone is recognized as the longest reigning title holder at 509 days.

Now Cargill is also 509 days, but unless Mone is stripped of the belt within the next couple of hours then it’s a guarantee that she’ll make it to 510 days. Not surprisingly, the CEO didn’t hold back on celebrating such a huge milestone.

Mone beat Willow Nightingale at Double or Nothing 2024 to win the TBS Championship. The 33-year-old has beaten top names such as Hikaru Shida, Riho, Britt Baker and Kris Statlander to retain it. However, Mercedes has some ways to go to become the longest reigning champion in AEW history. Kazuchika Okada holds that record with the Continental Championship at 576 days and counting.

There does seem to be a person who may take away that belt very soon. There’s still some issues with Alex Windsor from their last encounter, though Windsor and Mone haven’t interacted since their tag match a month ago. Regardless, Mone did tap during that match, so it’s quite possible that AEW will pick that up once WrestleDream is all said and done.

While Mone hasn’t had much attention in AEW lately, she’s been collecting more belts outside of the promotion. Mone beat Aliss Ink to win the BODYSLAM Women’s Championship in Denmark. She’ll have a chance to win her 11th this Sunday as Mone will challenge Jody Threat for the WPW Women’s Championship.

Mone has not lost a singles match outside of AEW since 2023 when Willow Nightingale beat her for the vacant NJPW Strong Women’s Championship. Even then, Mone was originally scheduled to win the title that night, but she called an audible after suffering an injury that put her on the sidelines. It’s likely that her streak won’t end Sunday, but never say never.

Congratulations to Mercedes Mone! Whether you love her or hate her, there’s no denying her talent as one of the best women’s wrestlers in the world. It'll be interesting to see who takes the belt from her.
