MJF Appeared At AEW DOUBLE OR NOTHING But His Issues With Tony Khan And AEW May Be Far From Over

Despite reports to the contrary, MJF was present for AEW Double or Nothing last night, but it sounds like the despised heel will be taking a lengthy break from TV as the line between reality and fantasy blurs.

Despite reports suggesting that MJF would no-show last night's AEW Double Or Nothing PPV, he was there to kick off the show with that long-awaited match against Wardlow.

The heel ended up taking ten powerbombs and was wheeled out of the arena on a stretcher after being pinned. The belief now is that MJF will be taking a lengthy absence from television, but it seems the two sides have worked things out. While MJF did decide to skip that fan event and considered flying home, it sounds like there was a point where reality did indeed start blurring into fantasy.

Now, we have no idea what is and isn't real, though there are rumblings that MJF is being inspired by Brian Pillman and will start playing into rumours about his AEW status by showing up elsewhere in an effort to leave fans unsure whether these issues with AEW are legitimate or not.

It's always fun when that happens in the pro wrestling business, of course, and we could be about to see a major gimmick change for MJF as he takes his character down a new route.

Interestingly, AEW President Tony Khan refused to comment on the MJF situation during last night's media scrums, so we're no closer to learning what's happening from official sources! MJF is someone who lives the gimmick, though, so he's no doubt loving seeing fans speculate about what's going on.

We'll keep you updated.

Best heel in wrestling today, the heat he got at Double Or Nothing was fantastic.

Pay him the money he deserves.
