At the start of tonight's episode of AEW Dynamite, Maxwell Jacob Friedman and "Hangman" Adam Page had a face-to-face promo segment, revolving around the idea of Page calling out MJF for being a coward.

MJF has tried to goad Page into granting him a title match without having to use his Casino Gauntlet contract (which grants him an opportunity at the AEW World Championship whenever he chooses).

After enough poking and prodding about MJF not having any guts, Hangman was able to fluster MJF so much that he decided to envoke his contract, scheduling them for a title match at the upcoming AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door 2025 event, proving it was Page who was the better mind manipulator for this round.

This episode of Dynamite ended with MJF getting the last laugh, as he attacked Page from behind in the parking lot, vowing "Remember when I said I was gonna break you? You ain't seen nothin' yet!"

Here is the current lineup for the AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door card:

  • Lights Out Steel Cage Match: Will Ospreay, Darby Allin, Hiroshi Tanahashi, and The Golden Lovers (Kenny Omega & Kota Ibushi) vs. The Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta), Gabe Kidd, and The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson)
