Tonight on AEW Dynamite, Powerhouse Hobbs won the Men's Casino Gauntlet match to earn a shot at Jon Moxley's AEW World Championship for next week's episode of AEW Dynamite, which will be the Maximum Carnage special.

Starting off the match was "Switchblade" Jay White, followed by "Hangman" Adam Page, Wheeler Yuta (which was interesting to include a member of the Death Riders), Ricochet, Adam Cole, Daniel Garcia, Will Hobbs, Roderick Strong, Lance Archer, Kyle O’Reilly, and finally, “The Last Outlaw” Jeff Jarrett.

The win came about after a spinebuster with Hobbs pinning Kyle O'Reilly, despite how O'Reilly had two of his best friends (Adam Cole and Roderick Strong) in the match who could have helped him out. Those three were working together rather well, but couldn't coalesce a win for any of them.

After the match, Hobbs was interviewed by Renee Paquette. He said he was planning on shocking the world next week and even though Moxley was the person who brought him into AEW, he was going to make Moxley his bitch and win the title.

Meanwhile, we also know who will be entering first in the Women's Casino Gauntlet match, which will also take place at Maximum Carnage. Kris Statlander defeated both Willow Nightingale and Toni Storm with a pinfall on Storm to earn that spot.

Following their three-way, instead of Paquette interviewing Statlander about her victory, she spoke to Toni Storm backstage, saying that a lot of people were surprised Storm didn't win. Storm's response was a humble "I'm not surprised. I gave it my best, but clearly, I'm just not ready. But it was really an honor to be out there with Willow and Kris Statlander, you know, she deserves it. And next week, the Casino Gauntlet, the women, they're gonna be amazing. But for me, I'm just not ready. But I'm gonna keep working hard. I guess it can't be Toni Time all the time. I'm sorry. Sorry Renee."

The winner of the Women's Casino Gauntlet will get a title shot against Mariah May for the AEW Women's World Championship at the next pay-per-view, AEW Grand Slam Australia.
