Austin Gunn is officially all elite.

Recently, the son of WWE Hall of Famer Billy Gunn has made appearances for AEW in dark matches, with his latest match being against Shawn Spears & Preston Vance. While the match was originally believed to air on the online series, that was actually a tryout match for the second-generation star who has indeed signed a contract deal with the company.

Following Dynamite on Wednesday, Austin and Billy teamed together again to take on Shawn Spears & Peter Avalon. Following the tag team affair, AEW Executive Vice President Cody Rhodes revealed that the young talent has signed an exclusive deal with the promotion.

Prior to working with AEW, Austin’s most notable stint is in Ring of Honor. Gunn signed with the promotion back in June 2019, and worked the Top Prospect tournament last year. He lost to Dak Draper in the finals. He’s also made appearances in the Battle Royale at All In, Ohio Valley Wrestling, Maryland Championship Wrestling, Pro Wrestling 2.0, and Southern Championship Wrestling Florida.
