Outside of the in-ring action, the title defenses and new champions being crowned, AEW Revolution was filled with surprise appearances, returns, and various other fun roster moments throughout the night.
During the Zero Hour pre-show, "Big Boom" AJ and QT Marshall defeated The Infantry. During the match, as per usual with their appearances, Big Justice and The Rizzler were involved, this time also joined by actor and comedian Wayne Brady.
Check out The Rizzler getting shoved down by Shane Taylor, followed by Taylor being speared by Big Justice:
During the 21-man Blackjack Battle Royal, Luchasaurus had an appearance to drive the Jurassic Express bus for Jungle Jack Perry's entrance, but he did not participate in the match himself.
After FTR retained their AEW World Tag Team Championship titles over The Young Bucks, Adam Copeland and Christian Cage returned to go after Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler. After they took them out, Cope and Cage had a moment in the ring opposite The Young Bucks and the tag team titles to indicate they're coming for those belts.
"Timeless" Toni Storm's feud with Marina Shafir is clearly going to continue (and is advertised as a No Holds Barred match for Wednesday's episode of AEW Dynamite), as after beating Shafir, Storm was then the target of a special appearance by Ronda Rousey, who got Storm to come back into the ring and distracted her so Shafir could attack her from behind. It'll be interesting to see if she has anything in particular scheduled with AEW going forward, or if this was a random one-off to try to promote her upcoming MMA fight against Gina Carano.
Will Ospreay also made his return tonight to attack The Death Riders after Jon Moxley retained the AEW Continental Championship over Konosuke Takeshita:
Yet another return went down with Kenny Omega running out to make the save for Brody King, who was about to be put head-first through a cinder block by Swerve Strickland.
