Katsuyori Shibata and Ricochet will collide for the very first time.
In a huge first time ever match, the former NEVER Openweight Champion comes into his match against Ricochet with some solid momentum. Despite Ricochet and Shibata being in New Japan Pro-Wrestling at the same time, these two took very different paths.
Now, both men are vying to face Kenny Omega for the International Championship. Interestingly enough, Shibata and Ricochet hold huge victories over the current International Champion; however, Ricochet is coming off a devastating loss to Swerve Strickland at Revolution. Who will come out on top in this first time dream match?
In the second tournament match, former ROH World Champion Mark Briscoe is hoping to get one step closer to finally winning some AEW gold. But Briscoe has to get through Mark Davis first. Briscoe has experience on his side as he’s been wrestling for over two decades.
But that doesn’t mean Davis is unable to match the former ROH World Champion when it’s time for these two to meet. The outsider factor is the Don Callis family, where Davis is being guided by Kyle Fletcher and Don Callis himself. Will the AEW star get a big victory over the former ROH World Champion?
In Las Vegas, former AEW World Tag Team Champions FTR will have a rematch against Undisputed Kingdom’s Roderick Strong and Kyle O’Reilly. Dax and Cash were shocked two weeks ago when Strong and O’Reilly beat them in a terrific match.
The former AEW World Tag Team Champions have been frustrated over their lack of success in recent months and their latest losses only pushes them further back in the rankings. Will FTR avenge their previous loss? Or will Strong and O’Reilly prove that they’re simply the better team?
