The Righteous and Killer Kross together?
The past weekend has been a busy one, but not just for the two major companies. The Righteous have been making their rounds lately.
Earlier this month, Fightful Select reported that Vinny and Dutch had told promoters that they were finishing up their remaining dates. It strongly indicated that The Righteous were heading to WWE, though there’s still no confirmation on whether the duo has signed with the company or not.
First, Vinny and Dutch paid a visit to Defy Wrestling. The former ROH tag team assaulted Midnight Heat (Eddie Pearl & Ricky Gibson) after their grueling match. Then Vincent grabbed a mic and said that to push the veil aside and welcome The Righteous.
But their weekend didn’t stop on September 19th.
The Righteous competed at the WrestlePro Killer show.
The Righteous beat Revolver’s Chamber (Alex Reiman & Brandon Downey). This was the first match that they've had since their ROH stint back in April. However, the talk of the town was Dutch & Vincent shaking hands with the devil himself - Killer Kross.
Is a new faction born?
The status of The Righteous remains a mystery so anything is surely possible. Or this could be a Righteous/Elijah situation where the two sides tease a faction, but nothing ever comes to fruition. It’s certainly an interesting time for the duo as Dutch & Vincent had been relatively quiet until now.
We’ll just have to wait and see how long this partnership between Kross and The Righteous lasts. Though it was reported that the tag team were finishing up their dates, it’s no telling what their final indie dates are. I guess we’ll just find what’s next like everyone else. Kross does have a match against Matt Cardona at House of Glory coming up. That could be a strong sign on to what come between these three.
