NWA Women's Champion Thunder Rosa put her title on the line against Ivelisse this past Wednesday on AEW Dynamite, and while the match didn't appear to be any more physical or hard-hitting than usual (Rosa is known to be quite stiff), a new report indicates that things may have escalated into a shoot fight at one point.

According to Fightful, Rosa began throwing legit strikes when she realised that Ivelisse wasn't selling her moves, and her opponent responded in kind.

Rumor has it that things were already tense leading up to the match as both women don't get along too well, and the NWA Champion took things to the next level when she felt disrespected by Ivelisse. The report also states that “those in attendance thought that the match was going to have to be edited, but we weren’t told whether or not it actually was.”

Rosa and Ivelisse didn't seem to have any issues during the match that aired this past Wednesday, so there's a chance it was edited after all.

Neither wrestler has mentioned anything being amiss with the bout or responded to this report on social media, but these type of things happen more than you might realize. As long as nobody goes out of their way to injure an opponent, a few "live rounds" here and there are generally glossed over.
