Two Championship matches headline tonight’s Dynamite.
This past Saturday was AEW’s WrestleDream and the big pay-per-view had a couple of twists and turns. One of them was Samoa Joe turning his back on Adam “Hangman” page. The two men had one hell of a back-and-forth match and the AEW World Champion emerged victorious.
Page tried to be a good sport and give Joe his due, but the AEW star's emotions got the better of him as Joe assaulted Page with Powerhouse Hobbs and Katsuyori Shibata; the AEW World Champion has promised to get his revenge, but Joe has to worry about another problem, The Hurt Syndicate.
The powerful trio of MVP, Shelton Benjamin, and Bobby Lashley have dominated AEW since the moment they arrived and they’ve earned the rightful spot as number one contenders. However, Joe, Shibata, and Hobbs are powerhouses themselves. Can The Opps get a rare victory over The Hurt Syndicate? Or will new AEW Trios Champions be crowned?
Kazuchika Okada is the reason that him and Konosuke Takeshita failed to win the AEW World Tag Team titles at WrestleDream. Now Okada has to worry about Bandido, the current ROH World Champion who has lost less than five matches in 2025. But Okada has an impressive record as well; Okada is currently the longest reigning champion in the company’s history. Plus, he remains undefeated in singles matches in 2025. Can Bandido be the first man to pin Okada and take away the Unified Championship?
Also, the bracket for the AEW Women’s Tag Team titles will finally be revealed! Which teams will get a chance to fight for the opportunity to become the inaugural AEW Women’s Tag Team Champion?
