Tonight, we get one step closer to crowning the first-ever TNT Champion.

In the highly anticipated rematch, Cody Rhodes will take on Darby Allin in a semi-final match-up. Despite his valiant efforts, Allin has struggled to put away the AEW Executive Vice President in a one-on-one encounter. However, Rhodes needed the help of Arn Anderson to successfully beat the 27-year-old in their last match-up.

While the time limit is still in play, the WWE Hall of Famer won’t be at ringside and Allin recently stated that he was confident that he can beat the Georgia native. Rhodes has cited Allin as an emotional wrestler and believes that the Washington native will get in his own way of winning the TNT Championship. With so much on the line and tension high going into the match, who will come out on top of the third encounter?

In the second semi-final match-up, Dustin Rhodes will take on Lance Archer. While it’s great to see the former WWE Intercontinental Champion fight another day, unfortunately, the 51-year-old has the tough task of taking on an unstoppable beast such as Archer.

Of course, this isn’t Dustin’s first rodeo and the AEW star will surely use his veteran experience to deal with the former IWGP United States Champion; however, Archer’s power and speed overcame another veteran last week. Will the Texas native run through Dustin Rhodes tonight?

All this and more is set for tonight’s AEW Dynamite on TNT at 8pm Eastern Time. Check out the advertised line-up below:
