WrestleDream is this Saturday.
However, before the huge pay-per-view extravaganza, AEW will hold a special Tailgate bowl that they originally started at All Out. It’s essentially an hour long pre-show featuring matches. This time, the pre-show features a couple of matches that could turn out to be some real bangers.
The first will see former AEW World Tag Team Champions Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler take on JetSpeed (Kevin Knight & ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey). This is not the first time that these two teams have collided. JetSpeed and FTR first met during the AEW World Tag Team title Quarterfinal; that night, FTR pulled out the victory over the up-and-coming duo.
However, JetSpeed and FTR have been dealing with some recent issues following FTR’s heinous actions against Beth Copeland (aka Beth Phoenix) at All Out. The teams fought on Collision in a mixed tag team match. Willow Nightingale was on JetSpeed’s side and Megan Bayne was on FTR’s. Ultimately, the former AEW World Tag Team Champions got the victory thanks to Stokely Hathaway and Penelope Ford cheating on their behalf. JetSpeed has a chance to get their first victory over the former AEW World Tag Team Champions. But they aren’t the only duo trying to avenge a big loss on Saturday.
That’s because Willow Nightingale will be teaming with Harley Cameron to take on Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford in the second Tailgate bowl match. The ending of the intergender match saw Hathaway distract the referee as Bayne and Ford double teamed Willow to get the three count.
Thus far, these are the only two matches confirmed for the Tailgate special.
