Coming out of AEW Dynamite: Winter is Coming, two matches took place in the 2025 AEW Continental Classic's Gold League bracket, furthering that tournament.
The AEW Continental Champion himself, Kazuchika Okada, scored another three points when he defeated "Jungle" Jack Perry, who was taking over in the tournament from Darby Allin's spot, due to Allin being pulled from competing for not being medically cleared. Perry inherited Allin's previous loss to "The Jet" Kevin Knight, meaning he has a 0-2 record so far with no points. Okada, meanwhile, had suffered one previous loss and a victory, making him now 2-1 with 6 points.
That 6 points is the same for another member of The Don Callis Family, Kyle Fletcher, who lost his first match so far to make his record now 2-1. He came up short against "Speedball" Mike Bailey, who is now 1-1.
The next update in the Blue League will come about on this Saturday's episode of AEW Collision: Winter is Coming (taking place December 13th at the Utilita Arena in Cardiff, Wales) as Claudio Castagnoli will face Konosuke Takeshita.
Two other new matches announced for next week's episode of Dynamite Holiday Bash will be FTR defending the AEW Men's World Tag Team Championship against The Bang Bang Gang, and The Elite reteaming in a trios match as The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega face Hechicero, Kazuchika Okada, and Konosuke Takeshita of The Don Callis Family with the full $1,000,000 on the line. Holiday Bash takes place December 17th at the Co-op Live in Manchester, England.
