A new lightweight bout has been added to the upcoming Bellator 250 show as Nick Newell and Zach Zane are set to fight on Oct. 29. MMA Fighting first confirmed the preliminary bout.

Newell is coming off a devastating loss to Manny Muro at Bellator 232. Since joining Bellator in 2019, the newcomer has managed to get one submission victory over Corey Browning at Bellator 225. His professional record currently stands at 16 wins and 3 losses.

Also a Bellator newcomer, Zane is coming off an impressive win over Nainoa Dung at Bellator 236. The lightweight has won four bouts out of his last six thanks to his time in World Fighting Championships, X-1 World Events, and Alaska Fighting Championship, with three of those fights ending via submission. Zane’s professional record stands at 14 wins and 9 losses.

Bellator 250 will be headlined by a battle for the vacant middleweight championship between Gegard Mousasi and current welterweight champion Douglas Lima. Check out the updated line-up below
