A lightweight bout is off the preliminary card of Bellator 244.

According to MMA Junkie, Lance Gibson Jr. vs. Shane Kruchten has been scrapped from the upcoming event. Sherdog further elaborated on the reasoning behind the fight being pulled, which stems from Kruchten not being licensed by the Mohegan Sun athletic commission.

There’s no word on whether Gibson Jr. will remain on the card for Friday’s event. Should the lightweight remain on the show then “Fearless” will be hoping to extend his undefeated streak on August 21. Gibson Jr. is coming off a successful debut against Dominic Jones at Bellator 232.

However, if Gibson Jr. is ultimately pulled from Bellator 244 then the preliminary card will continue on with seven fights from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. Check out the advertised line-up for this Friday’s event:
