Bellator MMA has added a new light heavyweight to their roster.

According to MMA Empire, current Xcessive Force Fighting Championship Light Heavyweight Champion Steven MacDonald has signed a multi-fight deal with the promotion. The exact details of his new contract is currently unknown.

Even though MacDonald has only been fighting professionally since 2018, the Canada native has managed a big splash in the sport thanks to his impressive wins over Kyle Francotti (via KO at XFFC 17 - Brawls Deep) and Phil Towler (via KO at RITC - Rumble in the Cage 62). The Bellator newcomer joins the promotion with an undefeated streak of four professional wins.

Bellator MMA has been signing numerous fighters lately, with the most notable being LFA Featherweight Champion Justin Gonzales and former two-time M-1 Light Heavyweight Champion Viktor Nemkov. MacDonald enters a stacked division that features top light heavyweights such as Phil Davis, Corey Anderson, Rafael Carvalho, and Vadim Nemkov. MacDonald’s Bellator debut has yet to be confirmed.
