A big lightweight fight is set for Bellator 244 as Michael Chandler will take on Ben Henderson.
Chandler is looking to build up momentum after his win over Sidney Outlaw at Bellator 237. Prior to the impressive TKO victory, the 33-year-old suffered a devastating loss to Patrício Freire that snapped a solid three-fight winning streak. The former Bellator Lightweight World Champion defeated Ben Henderson in their first encounter via split decision. Chandler’s professional record currently stands at 20 wins and 5 losses.
Henderson comes into the contest riding a nice four-fight winning streak, with the former UFC Lightweight Champion besting Roger Huerta, Saad Awad, Adam Piccolotti, and Myles Jury. The 36-year-old is hoping to avenge his loss to Chandler at Bellator 165 and get another crack at the Bellator Lightweight World Championship. Henderson’s professional record currently stands at 28 wins and 8 losses.
Bellator 244 takes place on Saturday, June 6 from the Wintrust Arena in Chicago, Illinois with Michael Chandler and Ben Henderson headlining.
