Fabian Edwards is no longer undefeated.

Going into his match-up against Costello Van Steenis at Bellator Europe 8, the Bellator MMA middleweight had nine strong wins under his belt, with his latest being against Mike Shipman at Bellator London.

Despite coming off his first loss in Bellator against John Salter, Steenis made sure to come in with a gameplan to throw Edwards off in the main event contest. Both fighters scrapped early on in the beginning, but Edwards tried to use his ground game to get the best of Steenis later on, which ultimately failed.

What arguably clinched the fight for Steenis is the final five minutes that saw him land some good shots and successfully fend off Edwards’ submission attempts.

Elsewhere on the main event card, Michael Shipman and Will Fleury added another win to their record thanks to unanimous decision victories on their respective opponents. The event saw only three TKO’s and one submission win, which took place in the preliminary bouts.
