A bantamweight bout has been confirmed for the upcoming Bellator 244 event as Erik Perez vs. Josh Hill joins the Bellator World Light Heavyweight title match between Ryan Bader and Vadim Nemkov on August 21.
Perez is hoping to finally get his first Bellator MMA win after suffering a loss to Toby Misech in his debut back in December. That crushing defeat actually snapped a strong five-fight winning streak that saw the bantamweight beat top names in Combate Americas following his time in the UFC. Perez’s professional record currently stands at 19 wins and 7 losses.
Josh Hill looks to continue his winning streak after besting Vinicius Zani at Bellator 239. In total, the bantamweight is currently on a three-fight winning streak, also dropping Jesse Arnett (via TKO at TKO 48 - Sousa vs. Gane) and Gilberto Aguilar (via submission at Z Promotions - Fight Night 11: Lethbridge). Hill’s professional record currently stands at 19 wins and 3 losses.
Bellator 244 takes place at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. With Ryan Bader vs. Vadim Nemkov as the main event of the show. The placement of the bantamweight bout is currently unknown.
