Artem Lobov is making his MMA comeback.
The former UFC featherweight has signed a one-fight deal with Arena Fight Championship, with his confirmed match-up being against Ylies Djiroun in December in France. The Mac Life and MMA Junkie both confirmed the news of Lobov’s return.
Since being released from the UFC back in 2018, the 34-year-old has been competing in Bare Knuckle Fighting Championships. Lobov emerged victorious in his first two fights against Jason Knight and Paulie Malignaggi; however, The Russian failed to beat Knight again in a rematch back at Bare Knuckle FC 9.
Lobov started in MMA back in 2010 and entered the UFC in 2015 thanks to the Ultimate Fighter 22. Lobov came up short against Ryan Hall in the finals; however, he still ended up with a UFC contract.
Since then, his UFC career saw the featherweight suffer more losses than wins, with his only two victories coming against Chris Avila and Teruto Ishihara. Following his third-straight loss to Michael Johnson, the company opted to release the veteran. Lobov will make his MMA return with a record of 13 wins, 15 losses, and 1 no contest.
