Wilson Reis has found a new home.
The former UFC fighter signed a multi-fight deal with ARES FC. The promotion revealed the news themselves on Twitter:
The flyweight has been fighting inside the octagon since 2007 and competed in various promotions including Bellator MMA, EliteXC, Cage Warriors, and UFC. The 35-year-old’s career in the top promotion saw him have exciting bouts against fighters such as Henry Cejudo, Dustin Ortiz, and Scott Jorgensen. Reis even challenged then Flyweight Champion Demetrious Johnson at UFC Kansas City in 2017.
Reis was released from the promotion in May 2019. The Brazil native left the company losing four out of his last five fights. Reis has previously won the Elite XC Bantamweight Championship. He enters ARES FC with a professional record of 23 wins and 10 losses. As of this writing, there’s no word on when he’ll make his debut for the promotion.
