Former UFC lightweight Danilo Belluardo will now fight for ARES FC.

The promotion confirmed the signing of the former UFC star through their social media account:

Belluardo had a brief stint with the UFC; however, the lightweight suffered back-to-back losses against Joel Alvarez (via TKO at UFC Fight Night 153) and Mark O. Madsen (via TKO at UFC Fight Night 160). The 25-year-old was released from the company a short time later.

Despite being in the midst of a two-fight losing streak, Belluardo has an impressive record when it comes to his time in Venator Fighting Championship, Praedator Fighting Championship, Cage Fight Series, and Bellator MMA. The lightweight managed to get strong victories over top tier fighters such as Elia Madau, Marco Manara, Zoltan Lepsenyi, and Ciro Ruotolo. Belluardo has been fighting professionally since 2014 and the lightweight’s current record stands at 12 wins and 5 losses. At the moment, there’s no word on when he’ll make his debut for the promotion.
