The main event for Bellator 243 has been set as former UFC fighter Liz Carmouche will make her debut against Mandy Bohm.
Carmouche is fighting outside of the UFC for the first time in eight years, with the flyweight hoping to bounce back after her unanimous decision loss to Valentina Shevchenko at UFC Fight Night Uruguay. Prior to the UFC Flyweight Championship bout, the 36-year-old was on a solid two-fight winning streak, besting Lucie Pudilová and Jennifer Maia. Carmouche’s professional record currently stands at 13 wins and 7 losses.
Bohm will also be making her Bellator debut, with the flyweight coming into the contest on a strong six-fight winning streak. Prior to signing with Bellator MMA, the Germany native competed in German MMA Championship and TKO Major League MMA. Bohm’s professional record currently stands at 6 wins, no losses, and 1 no contest.
Bellator 243 will live on Friday, May 29 on the Paramount Network and DAZN at 10 p.m. ET/9 p.m.
