Bellator MMA has decided to try and book James Gallagher vs. Cal Ellenor for the fourth time on October 3. The two bantamweights have failed to fight each other for various reasons prior to the recent booking of the match-up.
Coming in, James Gallagher is riding a solid three-fight winning streak that saw the bantamweight drop Steven Graham (via submission at Bellator 217), Jeremiah Labiano (via unanimous decision at Bellator 223), and Roman Salazar (via submission at Bellator 227). The 23-year-old hasn’t lost a bout in two years. Gallagher’s professional record currently stands at 10 wins and 1 loss.
Ellenor is coming off an impressive submission win over Nathan Greyson at Bellator Newcastle. Overall, the England native has won three bouts out his last five and will be making his second Bellator MMA appearance next month. Ellenor’s professional record currently stands at 8 wins and 2 losses.
Thus far, there’s no word on the placement of the bantamweight bout. Check out the updated line-up for the Bellator Europe 9 event:
