At Cage Warriors 113, we’re guaranteed to have a new Cage Warriors Lightweight Champion.

Following the departure of Jai Herbert back in January, the promotion has been looking to find two worthy competitors to fight for the belt and Mason Jones and Joe McColgan will get their opportunity to do so.

Jones is currently in the midst of a strong eight-fight winning streak, besting talents such as Kacper Formela, Craig Edwards, and Shaun Luther. The lightweight is coming off an impressive victory over Aleksi Mantykivi at Cage Warriors 108. Jones’ professional record stands at 8 wins and no losses.

McColgan is coming off a submission win over Robbie Scott at Cage Warriors 110. Prior to the lightweight contest, McColgan had a solid record as the fighter only lost one bout in his last four, besting Aldo Cirillo, Sean Carter, and Richard Williams. McColgan’s professional record currently stands 6 wins, 2 losses, and 1 no contest.

Cage Warriors 113 takes place on Friday, March 20 from the Indigo At The 02 in London, England with Darko Banovic and Morgan Charriere headlining.
