Herbert Batista has officially joined the ONE Championship roster.
The lightweight has been fighting professionally since 2012 and is currently one of the hottest fighters in the 155-pound division. Batista has previously fought in several promotions such as Amazon Kombat, Mr. Cage Championship, Arena Fight Championship, and Shooto Brazil.
Thus far, the Brazil native has amassed a strong 10-fight winning streak, besting names such as Georgy Eloyan, Rodrigo Lidio, and Joaquim Polonia. Out of his ten victories, seven of them have come by way of either submission or TKO. Batista has only lost twice in his career, with his last defeat inside of the octagon taking place back in July 2016.
His professional record currently stands at 15 wins, 2 losses, and 1 no contest. As of this writing, there’s no word on when Batista will make his debut for the promotion. Christian Lee is currently the ONE Lightweight Champion, could we see these fighters scrap inside of the octagon soon?
