Patricio Freire (30-4) will officially defend his Featherweight Championship at Bellator 241 on March 13 at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn.

The Brazil native is coming off a hot victory over Juan Archuleta at Bellator 228 in California. Freire is currently in the midst of a strong five-fight winning streak, which also saw him capture the Bellator Lightweight World Championship from Michael Chandler back in May 2019. His title fight against Carvalho will serve as the quarterfinal bout of the Featherweight World Grand Prix.

Pedro Carvalho (11-3) enters the title match on a six-fight winning streak, besting Sam Sicilia via submission at Bellator 226. The featherweight hasn't lost a fight since 2015, which was at the hands of Adenir Araujo outside of the Bellator banner.

Another tournament quarterfinal, Daniel Weichel (40-11) vs. Emmanuel Sanchez (19-4) will take the co-main event spot on the pay-per-view. Sanchez personally picked to fight Weichel, hoping to avenge his split-decision loss at Bellator 159.
