Back in January, the former UFC fighter confirmed that he would make his return to mixed martial arts after serving nearly seven years in prison. Probellum finally announced that Paul Kelly will take on Simone Bottino on March 7.

Kelly hasn’t competed inside of the octagon since March 2013, with the England native having a two-fight winning streak over Richard Griffin and Henrique Santana. The welterweight has been in wars against Donald Cerrone, Ryan Healy, and Paul Taylor; however, the 35-year-old has yet to win a championship with any promotion. Kelly’s professional record currently stands at 14 wins and 5 losses.

Bottino hopes to continue building momentum after an impressive win over Martin Rioja at WTE Fight Championship 8. The welterweight will be making his Probellum debut here, with Bottino previously competing in Hombres de Honor, Mix Fight Events, and Madness Fighting Championship. Bottino’s professional record currently stands at 3 wins and 5 losses.

Probellum 1 takes place on Saturday, March 7 from the Liverpool Olympia in Liverpool, England with Paul Kelly and Simone Bottino headlining.
