Bellator MMA has confirmed their return on July 24 and former UFC star Sergio Pettis will be in action against Ricky Bandejas.
Pettis made a successful debut against Alfred Khashakyan for Bellator back in January. The 26-year-old has a solid record in his last five fights, with his additional wins coming over Tyson Nam (via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 159) and Joseph Benavidez (via split decision at UFC 225). Overall, Pettis’ professional record currently stands at 19 wins and 5 losses.
Bandejas is currently in the midst of a two-fight winning streak, with the bantamweight dropping both Frans Mlambo (Bellator 240) and Ahmet Kayretli (Bellator 225) by knockout. While Bandejas suffered back-to-back losses against Juan Archuleta and Patrick Mix, his additional win over James Gallagher currently sees the fighter in good standing within the company rankings. Bandejas’ professional record currently stands at 13 wins and 3 losses.
Bellator 241 takes place on Friday, July 24 from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut with no main event announced at this time. The placement of the bantamweight bout is unknown at this time.
