Ciryl Gane vs. Shamil Abdurakhimov will no longer take place next month.
Originally, the heavyweight bout was scheduled for UFC Fight Night: Jung vs. Ortega on Oct. 17; however, Adurakhimov pulled out of the bout for undisclosed reasons. Gane will still remain on the card as the heavyweight is expected to fight Ante Delija instead.
Delija is set to make his UFC debut here and the 30-year-old is coming in on the strength of a three-fight winning streak following his time in Konfrontacja Sztuk Walki, Professional Fighters League, and Rizin Fighting Federation. The UFC newcomer hasn't suffered a loss in five years and won the majority of his fights by either submission or TKO. Delija’s professional record stands at 17 wins and 3 losses.
