Another promotion is set to hold an event in the month of May.
Titan Fighting Championship officials have confirmed to MMA Fighting that they will return to pay-per-view on May 29. The promotion last held a show back in February 28 in FT. Lauderdale, Florida where Titan FC Welterweight Champion Michael Graves successfully defeated Yuri Villefort to retain his belt.
Elsewhere on the card, Roman Faraldo got a TKO victory over Gerrick Bontekoe and Max Rohskopf beat Paulo Silva thanks to an anaconda choke. With Florida Governor Ron DeSantis deeming professional sports as essential, AEW, WWE, and most recently, UFC, have had empty arena shows down in the sunshine state.
Titan FC COO Lex McMahon released a statement on their testing procedure and ensure a safe environment for the fighters:
“While we are excited to return to competition, we have worked hard to ensure the safety of our athletes, staff, and commission officials that will be working the event,” McMahon said. “We have worked on developing our safety plan with the Florida Boxing Commission, State, and local governments. The key components of our plan are: 1) limited numbers in venue, 2) testing, 3) practical social distancing, & 4) emphasis on sanitation.”
Thus far, the pay-per-view has five scheduled match-ups including a Combat Grappling contest between Gesias “JZ” Cavalcante and Raush Manfio. Check out the advertised line-up for Titan FC 60 below:
