The promotion is fresh off the Forbidden Door pay-per-view and heading towards Destruction to Kobe. But before the next NJPW exclusive pay-per-view, Blue Justice XVI has been confirmed with a card stacked with numerous tag team matches and a former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion headlining the event.
For the last time, Hiroshi Tanahashi is scheduled to take on Yuji Nagata in the main event. This isn’t the first time that these two veterans fought one another. Tanahashi and Nagata’s history goes back to 2002 where the former was still rising as a young lion within NJPW. But their worlds would collide at the 2007 G1 Climax where Tanahashi beat Nagata in the finals to win the annual tournament. These two have fought each other 17 times, who will get the last victory on September 7th?
Also, the HOUSE OF TORTURE are not in a good mood. The faction did everything in their power to try and get EVIL to win the 2025 G1 Climax in order to bring the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship home, but they failed on all fronts. However, they have a chance to change course due to Ren Narita getting a world title match against Zack Sabre Jr. in October.
Zack will be on the opposite side of his challenger and he’s sure to be the target of HOUSE OF TORTURE’s methods of trying to send him into his world title match vulnerable and weak. Can Ren Narita and The HOUSE OF TORTURE weaken the current IWGP World Heavyweight Champion?
