Preview & Predictions for NJPW The New Beginning USA:

I will never stake claim to being a valuable analyst for New Japan, as I'm only aware of some things by proxy of other things and not an active fan watching the product. However, for what it's worth, since Yota Tsuji is defending the global title and not the world title, I think he could very well lose to Andrade.

I don't think Syuri or The Knock Out Brothers will lose their titles to Athena and GOA, but it's a possibility, for sure. No chance Taiji Ishimori takes the AEW National Championship from Ricochet, though, at all.

I'd expect Konosuke Takeshita to come up short against El Phantasmo, but that and Boltin Oleg against Tomohiro Ishii for the Strong Openweight Championship are things I'm just not aware of enough to gauge at all, and the same goes for El Desperado and KUSHIDA against Alec Price and Jordan Oliver, but at least with that one, I'd lean toward the newbies losing.

Does David Finlay go out losing to Fred Rosser? I'd assume so.

Here are your results for New Japan Pro Wrestling's "The New Beginning USA" 2026:

  • Singles Match: David Finlay defeated Fred Rosser
  • Singles Match for the Strong Openweight Championship: Boltin Oleg defeated Tomohiro Ishii (c) to become the new champion.
  • Singles Match for the AEW National Championship: Ricochet (c) retained over Taiji Ishimori
  • Tag Team Match: El Desperado and KUSHIDA defeated Alec Price and Jordan Oliver
  • Singles Match for the NJPW World Television Championship: Konosuke Takeshita defeated El Phantasmo (c) (with Jado) to win the title.
  • Tag Team Match for the IWGP Tag Team Championship: Knock Out Brothers (Yuto-Ice and Oskar) (c) defeated GOA (Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona)
  • Singles Match for the IWGP Women's Championship: Syuri (c) defeated Athena
  • Singles Match for the IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship: Yota Tsuji (c) retained over Andrade El Ídolo. Tsuji cut a promo after the match saying he isn't the future, as it is his time right now. He put over WWE, AEW, TNA, ROH, and MLW, but says NJPW is the best.
