Wrestle Kingdom 15 has been made official!
Following the big G1 Climax finals that saw former NEVER Openweight Champion Kota Ibushi secure his ticket to the biggest show of the year, the company confirmed that the upcoming event will take place once again at the Tokyo Dome on January 4 and 5, 2021.
Last year, the company held a two-night event for the first-time ever and saw Jon Moxley beat Lance Archer to regain the IWGP US Championship, Hiromu Takahashi winning the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title for the third time in his career, and Tetsuya Naito defeating Jay White and Kazchika Okada to win both the IWGP Intercontinental and Heavyweight titles.
At the moment, no matches have been confirmed for the big pay-per-view. NJPW still has several important events taking place before Wrestle Kingdom 15 as the company will host their annual Power Struggle show on Nov. 7. Also, the World Tag League and Best of the Super Juniors tournament are scheduled to start shortly after their final pay-per-view in 2020.
