Will Tetsuya Naito become the third IWGP Heavyweight Champion to win the G1 Climax?

Thus far, Naito leads the B-Block with 10 points, with his only loss coming against fellow Los Ingobernables de Japon member SANADA. Historically, the IWGP Heavyweight Champion rarely wins the annual event with Keiji Mutoh (1995) and Kensuke Sasaki (2000) being the only wrestlers to win the G1 Climax as the IWGP Heavyweight Champions.

On Night Twelve, Naito fought former IWGP United States Champion Juice Robinson, whereas SANADA and KENTA battled on the card as well. Former IWGP Heavyweight Champion EVIL also faced three-time G1 Climax winner Hiroshi Tanahashi.
