The Quarterfinals of the 2020 New Japan Cup tournament officially begins!

Eight men are now fighting for the opportunity to challenge Tetsuya Naito for the IWGP Intercontinental and Heavyweight titles at Dominion in several weeks, with Kazuchika Okada, Tomohiro Ishii, Hiromu Takahashi, Taiji Ishimori, Taichi, Sanada, Evil, and Yoshi-Hashi left in the tournament.

In the first quarterfinal tournament matches, former IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada faced former IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion Taiji Ishimori, with reigning IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion Hiromu Takahashi taking on Tomohiro Ishii. Former IWGP Tag Team Champions Sanada and Evil competed for a spot in the semi-finals.

In non-tournament match-ups, Los Ingobernables (Tetsuya Naito, Shingo Takagi & Bushi) fought Yuya Uemura & Chaos (Hirooki Goto & Sho) in a six-man tag team bout. Check out the quick results and some video from Day Seven of the 2020 New Japan Cup tournament:
