The Quarter finals of the G1 Climax is here!

Only six men in the G1 Climax remain: IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Zack Sabre Jr., EVIL, Yota Tsuji, Shota Umino, Konosuke Takeshita, and David Finlay. Zack and EVIL have a bye this round, so it’s down to the last four names.

The main event of G1 Climax match saw Yota Tsuji against Shota Umino. After beating Zack Sabre Jr, many had Umino pegged as the winner of the 2025 G1 Climax, but Tsuji had other plans in mind. This match saw both men work on a particular body part. Tsuji worked on Umino’s back and Umino targeted the knee. Neither man dominated the match as it back and forth technical and striking contest. But that changed when Umino got the first nearfall around the 19-minute mark after a back suplex and a powerbomb.

Tsuji responded with a headbutt that put them both out of commission for a good while. However, Yota was able to hit a flip powerbomb that resulted in his first nearfall. Tsuji tried to capitalize working on the back with a boston crab, but Umino got to the ropes before collapsing.

The final last minutes saw both men trade power moves. Yota nailed a flatliner and German suplex that almost put Umino to sleep. But Umino hit a German Suplex of his own and then a running knee. The end result saw Tsuji hit a Sliced Bread and a second Gene Blaster that got the three count!

That spectacular match came after the war that Konosuke Takeshita and David Finlay went through. Both wrestlers beat each other with stiff shots in and outside of the ring. Finlay seemed to have the match won via countout, but Takeshita jumped back into the ring at 19. But an Oblivion around the 15-minute mark only got a one count! In the end, Finlay attempted Overkill, but Takeshita reversed it into a Mafia kick. That allowed him to hit a standing powerbomb then a power drive. He put the final nail in the coffin with a Raging Fire for the three count.

Konosuke Takeshita, Yota Tsuji, EVIL, and Zack Sabre Jr. are all in the semi-finals.
