Ten tournament matches took place on night three.

Some were long. Some were short. Several matches had a shocking end such as the co-main event between current IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion El Desperado and Nick Wayne. This was a first time ever clash so the early portion of the match was a feeling out process. However, Desperado grabbed Wayne’s leg and hit a Dragon screw whip, which allowed him to target the leg for a good portion of the match.

Wayne went high flying crazy around the six minute mark as he hit a moonsault and a frog splash for a strong nearfall. But Desperado took advantage of his damaged knee by locking him into the Stretch Muffler. Luckily for Wayne, he was able to escape.

Wayne fired up with a bunch of superkicks and forearm strikes, but Desperado grounded him with a devastating spear. Desperado tried his finisher, the Pinche Loco, but Wayne counter into a stunner. Then he connected with a Canadian destroyer and got the three count on the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion.

The main event also saw another upset as Hiromu Takahashi took on Kosei Fujita. The match started off fast with hard chops and dives, but Hiromu put an end to that with a penalty kick. Hiromu took control of the match and also targeted the leg, but a springboard missile dropkick changed the match. But Hiromu was on Kosei like a pitbull as he immediately came back with a superkick and German Suplex.

The underdog came back with a German suplex of his own. However, Hiromu returned the favor when he hit his time bomb finisher. That only got him a two count! They had a back and forth chop off until Hiromu cut him off with a sideslam. But that simply wasn’t enough as Kosei was able to get up and gave him a Burning Hammer that got the three count.
