The NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Team Champions officially have their first challengers!

Earlier this month, CHAOS won an eight-team tournament for the vacant belts after the team of EVIL, Shingo Takagi, and Bushi relinquished the titles due to the former IWGP Heavyweight and Intercontinental Champion’s betrayal of Los Ingobernables De Japon.

The trio of YOSHI-HASHI, Tomohiro Ishii & Hirooki Goto will put their belts on the line against the three men that they defeated in the finals, Kazuchika Okada, Toru Yano & SHO. The dynamic between Okada and Yano should be an interesting one as the pair is coming off a four-way match to crown a first-ever King of Pro-Wrestling Champion, which saw Yano hit a low blow on the former IWGP Heavyweight Champion to get the victory.

The NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Team title match will take place on the September 11 New Japan Road Show. The upcoming event will also feature the finals of the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team tournament.
