Unfortunately, Yoshi-Hashi and YOH have suffered devastating injuries.

New Japan Pro Wrestling has confirmed that both men suffered knee injuries during their respective matches in the New Japan Cup tournament. Yoshi-Hashi got a right knee injury during his bout against BUSHI. YOH suffered a left knee injury during his bout against BUSHI last month. At the moment, there’s no word on when both talents could return.

Yoshi-Hashi managed to advance into the semi-finals of the 32-man tournament as the NJPW veteran beat Hiroyoshi Tenzan and BUSHI before losing to EVIL via referee stoppage. YOH lost in his first-round match-up to BUSHI. Currently one-half of the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions, both him and SHO competed in the tournament for the first time in their careers.

His partner SHO is scheduled to challenge Shingo Takagi for the NEVER Openweight Championship this Saturday at Dominion. As of this writing, there’s no word on what’s going to happen to the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team titles. We’ll keep you updated should news come out regarding the belts.
