Someone was going to be handed their first professional loss tonight, and after eight fairly exciting rounds, Tommy Fury was the one who remained undefeated.

Fury, a far more experienced fighter with a decade under his belt vs. Jake Paul's two years, always looked more likely to win - although it's worth noting that Paul was the bookie's favourite.

To be fair to the YouTube star, he landed some powerful shots, and actually cut his opponent above the eye (although that was the result of an unintentional clash of heads), and knocked him down in the final round.

Some felt that should have been enough to clinch it for Paul, but the judges felt differently, and Fury won by split decision.

A pretty good fight all things considered, and a lot more entertaining than many predicted since both men box a similar, counter-punch style. Also, love or hate The Problem Child, he silenced a lot of doubters with his performance in Saudi Arabia tonight.

After the match, Paul put his hands up and admitted that the better man won, but he wants a rematch. Fury, meanwhile, was over the moon and dedicated his win to his baby daughter.
