5 More Competitors And Commentary Team Announced For WWE's Upcoming MAE YOUNG CLASSIC Tournament

WWE has provided some official updates on the all-female Mae Young Classic which is scheduled to commence om August 28. According to their official website, the tournament will be called by WWE Hall of Fame announcer Jim "JR" Ross, who will be joined on color commentary by four-time Women's Champion and WWE Hall of Famer, Amy "Lita" Dumas.

Here are some quotes from WWE Executive Vice President, Talent, Live Events and Creative, Paul "Triple H" Levesque:


“The Mae Young Classic is a unique and exclusive offering for WWE Network subscribers and further highlights our ongoing commitment to the ‘women’s evolution’ in sports and entertainment. It’s a privilege to showcase these talented women from around the world and to provide them with an opportunity to shine before a global audience on WWE Network.”

In addition, we have 5 more participants: Third-generation wrestler Tessa Blanchard, hard-hitting veteran Abbey Laith, black-belt judoka Taynara Conti, international bruiser Jazzy Gabert and Great Khali protégé Kavita Devi.

These ladies will join the previously announced Toni Storm, Princesa Sugehit, Lacey Evans and Sarah Logan in the highly anticipated 32-woman tournament.
