Earlier today, the news broke that WWE and RAW commentator Adnan Virk had agreed to a mutual parting of the ways (in other words, he was released).
This both is and isn't a surprise, especially as his work has been greatly criticised on the Monday night show. Virk clearly struggled to learn on the job, and it's hard to fault him for that...especially with Vince McMahon likely barking bizarre orders and comments in his ear!
Now, Virk has broken his silence and offered an explanation for his WWE departure.
"Thanks to @WWE for a wonderful opportunity," he says in the Tweet below. "The weekly travel along with my other jobs was a grind for me and my family. Am grateful to everyone with the company especially @WWEGraves and @ByronSaxton for being such fantastic teammates."
While we have a feeling there's more to this one than meets the eye, it's worth noting that Virk also works on MBL studio show "ChangeUp, the MLB Network, and various boxing events.
