Austin Theory Breaks His Silence After Being Unmasked As The Vision's Mystery Masked Man

After being revealed as the newest addition to The Vision on RAW, Austin Theory has returned to social media and broken his silence on being unmasked as the faction's mystery man.

At Survivor Series: WarGames, an unidentified WWE Superstar in a black hoodie and mask entered the cage and hit CM Punk with a Curb Stomp, Seth Rollins' signature move, costing the babyfaces the win.

He later returned on RAW, taking out both Rey Mysterio and LA Knight. It doesn't make sense for Rollins to be helping The Vision after they brutally ejected him from the faction (he's also legitimately injured), so who is lending Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Logan Paul, Brock Lesnar, and Paul Heyman a helping hand?

During this past Monday's episode of RAW, the masked man hit Mysterio with a Curb Stomp during his match with Paul. When Punk hit the ring, he made a run for it and unmasked as former United States Champion Austin Theory.

Now, he's broken his silence with a two-word X post: "Mask off."

Bryan Alvarez has weighed in on plans for Theory today, explaining, "So, I guess he's part of The Vision. Well, that was the plan. Originally, he was going to be in WarGames in The Vision's team, so they changed things after Seth got hurt. I presume he's going to be with the group because Paul Heyman is high on the guy. He's high on him."

A main event push for Theory is long overdue. Vince McMahon clearly intended to push him as a top star, but when Triple H took over, it was apparent that he didn't feel quite the same way.

Theory has had some success as a two-time United States Champion and one-time Tag Team Champion, but fans were left baffled in 2022 when he tried and failed to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase on Seth Rollins for the United States title. As a Paul Heyman Guy, his career stands a chance of being taken to the next level.

"Austin Theory was the guy under the mask," Dave Meltzer previously said. "Paul Heyman had wanted to bring Theory into the Vision, largely to make him a star and to protect Breakker and Reed from having to take pins."

"He would have been in this match had Jacob Fatu not gotten hurt, which sped up the Cody Rhodes vs. Drew McIntyre feud," he continued. "The Fatu injury led to Rhodes moving into the WarGames team, and with him in the match, McIntyre made far more sense than Theory."
