Where is Tamina?
The second generation star hasn’t wrestled for WWE in two years. The last time Tamina wrestled was on February 27, 2023. She fought Michin on Main Event and lost. Since then, the former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion has been sitting on the sidelines waiting. Tamina wasn’t injured. Nor did she ask for any time off. It’s a case where WWE simply had nothing for the second-generation star.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select actually spoke about Tamina’s absence in October 2023 during a Q & A:
“She is still under contract, even though she has not been used in quite a long time. I’ve heard she had been backstage here and there. She was backstage when [CM] Punk showed up there and that was April 24th, but she has not wrestled since. I think it was February 27th, and she was just used on a couple of episodes of Main Event. She was used in the Royal Rumble, and she hadn’t been around for months before that. Tamina has not been wrestling regularly since the beginning of December of last year, so we’re going on almost a full year. She’s had the Rumble and two main event matches that she lost since then.”
Two years later, Sean gave an update about the WWE star and Tamina is still under contract. But she’s not listed on any of the internal WWE rosters nor has she been present for any of the shows backstage. It’s not explained why WWE has Tamina on their roster if they don’t intend to use her onscreen or even backstage.
It’s also not clear how long Tamina’s contract is. She’s never claimed to be retired. Tamina has simply vanished from wrestling altogether. Her Twitter account hasn’t been updated in years. Though her Instagram does have videos and photos of her personal life from 2025. It seems that Tamina is living her best life as none of her recent posts mentions WWE whatsoever. She's simply enjoying time with family and friends.
It seems like Tamina is retired, but she hasn’t made it official. One of these days we’ll find out what the hell is going on with Tamina. It’s genuinely surprising that with all the recent cuts, she’s still on the roster despite the company having no plans for her. Then again, Omos is on the sidelines doing nothing as well, so it’s not particularly a strange occurrence for WWE.
