Baron Corbin Comments On His MONEY IN THE BANK Win As Speculation Mounts For WWE's Cash-In Plans
Baron Corbin was the favorite to win last night's Money in The Bank ladder match, and sure enough, The Lone Wolf emerged victorious. Find out what the Superstar had to say about his future plans to ESPN...
As many predicted he would, Baron Corbin won the 2017 Money in The Bank ladder match and now looks set for a WWE Championship run at some point in the near future. Because the current champ, Jinder Mahal, is also a heel, the prevailing theory seems to be that Corbin won't cash in the briefcase until The Modern Day Maharajah loses the title to a babyface, and right now speculation points to that babyface being John Cena.
Nothing concrete on this of course, but it would seem like the most logical, if not exactly crowd pleasing, course of action.
Following his victory at last night's PPV, The Lone Wolf had the following to say to ESPN:
“It’s an amazing moment. I’m here to leave my mark in WWE history. I started that on Day 1 when I walked in and won the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, and now tonight, being Mr. Money in the Bank, pulling that briefcase down. History shows that anybody who gets their hands on the briefcase becomes WWE champion, and so I have no doubts in my mind that that’s next for me. That’s the next step in my career, and this briefcase is going to help achieve that, and nobody’s going to take that away from me.”
