We haven't seen Seth Rollins since WrestleMania, and it appears the former World Heavyweight Champion will be on the shelf for at least a few months.

His wife and fellow WWE Superstar Becky Lynch recently appeared on Ireland's RTE One and confirmed that Rollins recently underwent knee surgery to repair a torn meniscus.

Of course, it was back in January that we first learned he'd suffered a grade two tear in his MCL and a torn meniscus in his left knee. He was able to compete at the Show of Shows, but his back-to-back matches seem to have been the straw that broke the camel's back.

An injury like this should typically put a wrestler on the shelf for three to four months, so we're assuming that's how long Rollins will be on the shelf. He worked a limited schedule after first confirming he'd been injured, competing in four house show matches starting mid-March and then in the main event of WrestleMania Night 1 when he teamed up with Cody Rhodes to battle The Rock and Roman Reigns.

The next night, he opened WrestleMania Night 2 in a match with Drew McIntyre which saw him lose the title.

A fan video taken at WrestleMania has also gone viral which appears to show Rollins' leg bending in a very unfortunate direction after taking Reigns' Superman Punch during Sunday night's main event...

"I want to say congratulations to the men I was in the ring with, these guys are the best on the planet," The Rock recently said, singling out Rollins' contributions on the Grandest Stage of Them All. "Congratulations to Cody Rhodes, the new Universal champion — as I had said when The Final Boss returns, he’s coming back for you. Gonna make you bleed again, boy [Laughs]."

"Congratulations to my cousin Roman Reigns on an incredible three-in-a-half-year run, maybe even four years — just incredible, and iconic, and historic. I’m very, very proud of you, uso."

"And also congratulations to who I feel is the real MVP of the entire WrestleMania weekend, Seth Rollins. Seth Freakin’ Rollins," he added. "What an honor it was to share the ring with you three. What an honor it was for us to break records. And now my sights are set on the next WrestleMania. But that’s down the road."

Needless to say, we wish Seth a speedy recovery!
